The complaints book, as a citizenship tool, is regulated by Decree-Law no. 156/2005, of 15 September 2005 with subsequent changes (see Legislation) and is available in electronic format – through this technological platform – and physical format. The Directorate-General for Consumer presents a set of questions with answers in order to clarify consumers/users, economic operators, entities and the general public about the tool (procedures, deadlines, etc.).
